Restoring America's Middle

Policy Work

Three priorities for working Americans.

We are applying a few simple principles to the issues that matter most to the middle class: affordability, a fair economy, and health care you can afford. Make prices public. Build more housing. Lower taxes for working families. The path forward isn't complicated.

Healthcare

Every American should be able to afford to go to the doctor, fill a prescription, and get care when we need it, without fear of what the bill will say afterward.

We believe getting there requires expanding access, demanding transparency, and restoring real competition to a system that has stopped working for ordinary people. Make prices public. Break up health care monopolies. Let people actually shop for care. A health care system that works is one that serves every American, not just the ones who can afford it.

Affordability & Economy

A generation ago, a middle class family could afford a home, a car, and a vacation on one income. We believe that deal can—and should—be restored.

That starts with attacking the affordability crisis and ensuring the economy works for working families and the middle class. To lower costs, the path forward is straightforward: build more, compete more, and charge less. More housing supply. More competition in grocery and retail markets. Fewer hidden fees and markups. We also need to lower taxes for working Americans, ensure the wealthiest are paying their fair share, and craft smarter regulations that protect workers, consumers, and communities. Lowering costs isn't just good for working families—it's how we build a strong, sustainable economy for everyone.

Energy

Energy should be affordable, reliable, and built for the future.

We believe in an all-of-the-above energy strategy: maximizing efficiency so families and businesses waste less and spend less, expanding new and cleaner sources of energy that lower costs over time, and investing in the infrastructure that delivers power dependably to every community. We also believe that the benefits and the burdens of our energy system should be shared fairly. When we build a smarter, stronger energy system, everyone should win—especially middle class families.
